Native Americans and the Presidency of U.S. Grant

Andy Hahn, Exec­u­tive Direc­tor at the Camp­bell House Museum, will explore Grant’s “Peace Pol­icy”, Grant’s pro­gres­sive step of appoint­ing a Native Amer­i­can to the post of Com­mis­sioner of Indian Affairs, and the for­ma­tion of a new Board of Indian Com­mis­sion­ers which included St. Louisan Robert Campbell.
