Our former special exhibit At the Back of the House: Servants and Slavery was featured on Nine PBS program “Living St. Louis.”
A new discovery is shedding light on someone who has been left out of the Campbell House Museum’s history. Eliza Rone was a Black woman who was enslaved and later emancipated by the Campbell family. Her story is now included in the museum.
